Vice President, Strategic Initiatives - Togo Group

Togo Group is searching for a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP, Strategic Initiatives will work closely with the CEO to manage strategic planning and business reviews, corporate development initiatives, co-creation of communications to the company and to the board of directors, and strategic initiatives within Togo Group.  This position will play an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. 


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Be an outspoken member of the senior leadership team, helping to drive accountability and metric-based results
  • Lead OKRs and champion them throughout the organization
  • Coordinate presentations for the board of directors with the CEO, CFO and other senior leaders
  • Partner with groups throughout the company to identify, plan, and drive strategic initiatives to completion, such as go-to-market strategy
  • Own competitive intelligence, gathering information from internal and external sources into a centralized knowledge area
  • Lead / co-lead research projects for Togo Group
  • Organize SLT meetings and facilitate planning at SLT offsites, driving next steps and accountability
  • Develop a framework and playbook to evaluate M&A opportunities
  • Assist the CEO with key initiatives, such as org design, communication, creation of new policies and procedures, etc.
  • Champion efficiency throughout the organization

Experience & Qualifications

You will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, and partnerships roles
  • MBA from a top-tier school
  • Background in consulting and implementing frameworks to organize thinking
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative and research skills
  • Superior presentation, business writing, and communication skills
  • Strong operational background with familiarity developing and championing OKRs
  • High degree of accountability and focus on meeting delivery milestones
  • Bias for action
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability, with a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively across the organization, including experience working with senior-level leaders to drive toward common company goals
